This important day will take place on either Monday or Tuesday 10th or 11th April, at Maybridge Community Church.
It will cover the following general areas: cultural awareness and culture-shock, awareness of stress, trauma and PTSD in refugees, lessons from first-hand experience, and will be taught by those have been working regularly within refugee camps and local NGOs. Also: challenges of working with refugees, including overcoming stress, vicarious trauma and burn-out, recognising and treating PTSD in a worker, Biblical basis for self-care and mutual-care. This day workshop will be taught by a team of member care experts, refugee and asylum seeker workers and cross-cultural mission trainers. The day will begin at 10.00am and finish at 4.30pm. If interested please email rod.504t@ntlworld.com
