England will be re-dedicated as the ‘Dowry of Mary’ on the 29th March this year, with celebrations in every diocese and many parishes across the country. This is an important moment for our country at a time when we increasingly need the prayers of Mary, Our Lady of Walsingham and the Mother of God.
Our parish will be taking a role in this process, starting with Mass on Thursday 20th February at 7.30pm. This is the starting point for our personal dedications to Mary and leads to a special Mass on 29th March to coincide with the national re-dedication. The National Shrine at Walsingham have provided us with 200 copies of the book ‘33 Days to Morning Glory’ by Fr Michael E Gaitely, an excellent daily prayer guide for our journeys to personal consecration to Mary over the 33 days. These free books will be given out at the Mass on the 20th February.
“When England goes back to Walsingham, Our Lady will return to England”.
