Pray with the Heart Final Session
29th April
Pray with the Heart is a new course for the Worthing Deanery, designed to help us grow in our relationship with God through the gift of prayer.
Each Monday evening through Lent Pray with the Heart will focus on a different element of prayer, with quality talks from guest speakers.
The course will be held at St Michael’s in High Salvington, Worthing, and guest speakers include Michelle Moran (Sion Community), the Franciscan Friars of the Renewal, Geoff and Gina Poulter (Former Directors of the Catholic Bible School), David Matthews, and our very own Bishop Richard Moth, Fr Terry Martin and Dermot Casey.

Course outline
Growing our relationship with God through the gift of prayer. Prayer is an encounter of the heart and each of the seven evening sessions focuses on a different element of prayer with talks from guest speakers.
The course is centered around good teaching on prayer, faith and prayer techniques using scripture and the traditions of the church. Group work and open discussions will help participants more deeply explore their response to the teaching.
Participants will be encouraged to practice prayer and the techniques between sessions. The course culminates with a Mass offered for the intentions of the participants, an opportunity to receive the sacrament of reconciliation and prayer ministry.

Oh such a shame it is in High Salvington – I would love to have gone and organising lifts can be very stressful. Maybe next year, if the course runs again, it could be held somewhere easier to access for those of us who don’t drive?
Hi Maire, The Worthing deanery churches have been encouraged to offer lift sharing to ensure that those without transport are able to come. If it would help, please let me know which church you attend. I will make contact with your priest to see if there is anything that can be done to help. God bless you,
Stuart

Fr Fransisco of the The Franciscan Friars of the Renewal will be coming on the 8th April.
Please do keep the course in your prayers.
God bless you,
Stuart
If there is anyone traveling from Horsham area or Billingshurst, please let me know.
Can you also let me know the cost of the course.
Kind regards
Marguerite
Hi Marguerite, thanks for your question. There is no cost for the course, nor booking required.
In regards to travel, I recommend that you ask others in your church to see if anyone can give you a lift.
Public transport to St Michael’s isn’t great, however there is a car park.
I hope this helps, God bless you,
Stuart
