CAFOD Parliament in your Parish is about engaging with our MP’s to plan a better post-COVID world. This year the UK hosts both the G7 meeting of rich countries, discussing overseas Debt & Aid, and the Cop26 Climate Summit.  It’s important to hold our politicians accountable after the Pandemic to rebuild in a way that addresses the world’s most pressing ecological and social issues. This week parishioners from here & Shoreham met Tim Loughton MP to discuss aid debt & climate change, a similar meeting will hopefully go ahead with Sir Peter Bottomley MP shortly

Fr Silvester’s Projects in Uganda We have sent a donation of £200 from J&P funds for the Medical Centre to purchase drugs/medicines to help them through the next 3 months. Fr Silvester sent a message to say they are very grateful for the support & asks us to continue keeping them in our prayers.

Live SimplyTip of the week- WASTING FOOD FEEDS CLIMATE CHANGE. Don’t believe us? Well, if we stopped throwing away the 714,000 tonnes of potatoes we waste every year in our homes, it would do the same for the environment as taking 326,000 tonnes of CO2e out of our atmosphere! We’re challenging everyone to understand the true value of food and waste as little as possible. It’s time to act now.
