Live Simply Tip of the Week Stick at 70 mph on motorways instead of cruising at 80 to85 mph. Not only is it illegal, but fuel costs can go up by as much as 4p a mile for small cars. According to the Slower Speeds Initiative https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Slower_Speeds_Initiative , driving at 50 mph instead of 70 mph can reduce fuel consumption further by 30% https://friendsoftheearth.uk/living/articles/20_tips

Cafod is offering free CPD to Schools Until July 2021, supported by the British Council, either online or face to face where appropriate. These courses enable Catholic schools to have global justice at the heart of all they do. They give staff an opportunity to come together (including virtually, and from home if necessary) and plan how this can be brought to life within school. This global justice CPD is rooted in Catholic Social Teaching and is a good way to respond to Pope Francis’ invitation ‘to see, to choose, and to act’. Please visit CAFOD’s website to find out more, or contact the education team at E: schools@cafod.org.uk to book. |
