LIVE SIMPLY Tip of the Week Get rid of the big items. There’s tons of little clutter in our lives, but if you start with the big items, you’ll simplify your life quickly and in a big way.
CAFOD We are living through the biggest public health crisis in a century. Right across the UK, coronavirus is having a devastating impact on all of our daily lives, and many people have lost precious loved ones. But in many developing countries where poverty is widespread and healthcare systems are much more fragile, the effects are likely to be disastrous.
We must never forget that we are one global family, united in this struggle. Now is not the time to build barriers, but for the world to unite in love and compassion.
Out of love for our sisters and brothers overseas, please sign our petition asking the Prime Minister to ensure that the most vulnerable people are the priority in the UK’s international efforts as well as at home. https://e-activist.com/page/59334/petition/1
Laudato Si’ Week 16 -24 May The challenge is urgent, the time is now! This year marks the celebration of 50 years of Earth Day and 5 years since Pope Francis’ encyclical letter letter, Laudato Si’: On Care for Our Common Home.
Both the message of Earth Day this year (Climate Action), Pope Francis’ encyclical, and the current COVID crisis around the world, give us reason to think what we can do now to protect the earth and our local communities for everyone, especially the poor and vulnerable.
What can we/I do Join with Catholics around the world in taking action for creation! We’ve compiled a few ideas to share. https://ourcommonhome.org/laudato-si-week/
