Would you like to become a Eurcharistic Minister?

We need more Ministers to assist with the distribution of Communion at Mass and to the sick. Please think whether you would be able to give your time and commitment to this important Ministry or encourage someone else to do so.

No one is worthy of this Ministry but many are qualified for it. If you would consider this Ministry or there is someone else you would like to see as a Minister please let Fr Chris know.

There is a training course at The Holy Family Lancing Thurs Feb 4th, 11th, 18th 7.30 - 9pm.

How do I get my item in the St Mary’s Newsletter?

Filed under: Get Involved — Stuart @ 15:54

If you would like something placed in the newsletter please make sure it is put in the basket in the Sacristy by Thursday morning or you can email us at newsletter@stmaryoftheangels.org.uk

Volunteers needed in Haiti
Following the earthquake in Haiti last week it is now estimated that in addition to the 200,000 people who have been killed, 300,000 others are in need of urgent medical attention and 3 million left homeless and starving, 50% of whom are under-18. In order to try to access treatment tens of thousands of parent and child refugees are now fleeing from Port au Prince to the northern town of Cap-Haïtien. While Cap-Haïtien has been left largely undamaged by the earthquake it has only one hospital and is therefore unable to deliver the care needed. Without additional facilities many of those who have survived the quake are likely to die.

Jubilee Action’s partners on the ground have been building a hospital in Cap-Haïtien and, although unfinished, it is ready for use and is being used to deliver medical care.  However, without medical supplies and staff we can’t save the lives of the men, women and children who are coming to us for help.  We are therefore asking anyone with medical training – if you’re a nurse, doctor, paramedic or surgeon – to come to Haiti and help.  If you’re not a health professional do you know someone who is?  Even a period of just a few days would be a great blessing.  For more information, please email caroline@jubileeaction.co.uk or call us on 01483 230250.

If you aren’t able to provide services then please do consider donating to our Haiti appeal.  Please click here to donate >>
